Industry Unites to Support Federal Campaign Aimed at Preventing Underage Drinking

Beam Global Spirits & Wine, Inc. [Fortune Brands, Inc. (NYSE:FO)], a global leader in premium spirits and wine, is honored to support the federal government’s “We Don’t Serve Teens Week,” a week-long campaign aimed at preventing underage drinking and reminding adults that most teens get alcohol from family and friends. In addition to supporting industry efforts through the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States and The Century Council, Beam Global is working with several partners to deliver the “We Don’t Serve Teens” message.

The “We Don’t Serve Teens” campaign provides adults information about teen drinking, how to reduce teens’ access to alcohol and practical tips on talking to teens about alcohol. It also reminds adults that providing alcohol to those who are not of legal purchase age is unsafe, illegal and irresponsible.

Beam Global joins federal and state government leaders, state attorneys general, media organizations, community groups and other companies within the distilled spirits industry in supporting this initiative through donating advertising space, running public service announcements, and displaying and distributing free materials to encourage adults to visit the campaign website, www.dontserveteens.com.

In addition, Beam Global and its media buying partner, Zenith Optimedia, have secured donated time for “We Don’t Serve Teens” public service radio announcements in 10 major radio markets.

Hardcore drunk drivers cause a disproportionate share of alcohol related traffic fatalities and are the most dangerous individuals on our roads. DWI Courts and the Judges that support them are on the frontline in our fight to eliminate drunk driving. NCDC raises awareness about the effectiveness of DWI Courts and provides training and research to court personnel as DWI Courts are launched throughout the country.
